The place I train in ABQ. is on San Pedro just south of Constitution. Its called Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy of NM. Its ran by a guy named Alberto Crane. Its more for guys who want to do both GI and NOGI competitions. But Jacksons is a bad ass school too. But Greg Jackson only teaches submission grappling ( with out the Gi). Yeah your buddy's probably goin to compete in Grapplers Quest. It one of the biggest tournaments in the US. Every March and Nov in Vegas. But tell him he is more than welcom to come and check us out. We still need to meet up sometime and slam some beers homie!
