All I can say is if you're building a VW, don't buy from United!
Worst engine builders I've ever come across. First one I bought from them ran okay, hot on the highway, which I blamed on flat spots with the carb.
Went to dual carbs, custom designed for my engine. Same problem. Hmm, maybe the engine's damaged from the old carbs.
Nope, damaged from a bad seal that a mechanic installed. Okay, his fault.
Get another engine from these idiots, thinking it wasn't their fault the first time.
Big mistake. This engine's oil pump was not installed properly. I finally got it working, but by that point the engine was toast.
Now I have to deal with holding these fuckers to their warranty. No problem. I've got friends who are lawyers and of course the good ole Better Business Bureau.
Start my new gig tomorrow. Some UPN show with Holly Robinson Pete.
