Switch?
The fucking nerve of them.
I'm about ready to "switch" to a PC!
For a company that pretty much only makes hardware, Apple is doing a shitty job of it.
They already had to replace the motherboard on my G4 once, about a month after I got it. Now, it seems that the processor is faulty! The one that was on the motherboard that they replaced! Only problem is, the machine is now two years old and not under warantee. The cost of replacing the processor is a whopping $1300! More than the cost of picking up an entire other machine on eBay.
I'm totally pissed.

As far as I can tell, Apple has no quality control. A similar thing happened to me, and when it did I found countless similar stories on the web. Even when mine was bad out of the box, they wouldn't replace it, but instead insisted on repairing it. My G4 is fine now and I hate PCs, so I don't really have a choice.
