Is it just me or is this Emily the Strange stuff the most poseur crap ever?

Aside from not being funny, I can just picture some Highlights writer doing enough research to assemble something that she would describe as "edgy." It's as if she took Beetlejuice & Edward Gorey, left out the humor and the heart and gave Emily to the world.

Boo.
