Howdy Ho SG friends,
It feels like forever since I was last on here. First off, as usual, a big thanks to those kind souls who left supportive comments on the last blog.
My situation hasn't changed much since my last blog, so I won't bore you with all the details.
Still out of work due to a combination of depression, testicular pain (though slightly less than before I had surgery) and the general lack of any suitable jobs being available.
I was having therapy, which was going well, but that finished in August (they only do blocks of a maximum 16 sessions, because it's on the NHS) and my therapist suggested I try a course of online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy next. I'm still waiting for my referral for CBT, so no luck there yet.
On a more positive note, we finally managed to buy the council house we live in (thanks to Mum bankrolling us) and we're in the process of fixing it up. We started on the kitchen about a month ago, but it's taking ages because we're doing most of the work ourselves to cut down on costs. Had to call in a plumber though, because we're not sure how to fit the new sink and didn't want to risk trying ourselves. He'll be coming to do that at the start of next week and we won't have much left to do after that, so we've nearly got one room done. Yay!!
In other news, we're finally going to try selling some of our craftwork (my knitwear and my wife's homemade jewellery). We're trying locally to test the waters and we have a table booked at the local shopping mall for next Saturday. Ideally, we would like to set up our own craft business, but didn't know where to start trying to sell our work. Depending on how we do next weekend, we might try selling online too.

Went to see Spectre on Tuesday, which was truly awesome, better than Skyfall and a must see for Bond fans.
