First of all, as always a big thanks to the nice remarks on the last blog, you guys are the best!
Well, this week was actually going fine until today...
My boss made an unexpected appearance at work this morning and said "We need to talk...". Never a good thing when someone says that, though she did say that I needn't worry as she wasn't firing me... However, due to how quiet we've been lately and the fact that the cost of our payments for this month was the same amount as she gets paid by the NHS per month - she's had to cut my hours... I will be working a 3 day week as of the start of April. Frankly I think it's only a matter of time before I'm out of a job permanently...
Worst thing is I was looking forward to a little extra pay this coming payday, due to having had to work two 6 day weeks in a row. Since my first 3 day week falls on pay week, this clearly isn't going to happen and my wage will equate to the same as I usually get per month. I should count myself lucky that I'll be getting the same amount this time, but I was so looking forward to that little bit extra pay...
Decided initially to not bother looking for a part time job to make up for the 2 days I won't be working as of yet. This is because I'm a bit behind with my coursework and the end of the course is in sight. Got the last assessment due on Thursday (must start that tomorrow - no procrastinating!) and our final project/exam's due at the end of May. I might try and devote my new found free time to my studies.
That was until I found a job in the local paper today that I'm considering applying for (since my current job's pretty much fucked). Will seriously look into this and make my decision on whether to apply or not over the weekend - when I'm not studying or playing the Playstation, or on here...
Got myself booked in for a trim after work next Thursday, so this time next week I shall be less of a scruffy looking Nerf_Herder!
