So not having a good day today!
It was another quiet day at work today - Specsavers opened up a permanent shop before Christmas and we've been a bit quieter than usual ever since. They used to come here once a month and then applied for one of the shops that was empty after on of our local businesses had to shut down. Our stupid local council gave them the OK - our population's not big enough to support 3 opticians, so either us or the other local optician's may have to close if sales don't pick up.
As much as I'm bored in my job, I don't like the idea of losing it, as we're struggling enough on my wage as it is.
On a lighter note I discovered that my first attempt at posting a set on the SuicideBoys group turned out to be an epic fail. I'd sent the pics to the thread, same as I do on my blog - what an idiot!
I decided to try another set as I don't have the original photos anymore, so I took the pics today and was going to post them there but a number of factors are standing in my way. Firstly my files are too large (they've got a 200KB max per file and all mine are 270KB+), secondly, after looking at some of the competition I'm really worried about embarassing myself, as the guys are a lot fitter (my pics might be ok for the ChubbyLovers group :puke
, their sets look way more professional (mine look crappy by comparison) and they don't have the camera in every pic (the camera's in every pic of mine apart from the crotch close ups because I have to use a mirror to take the pics).
My crappy day was completed by the fact that I've been really sore all day. I won't bore you with all the gory details, but it's in a tender location, which was aggravated following a failed 1st stage IVF operation and the surgeons can't do anything remove it because there's a danger of doing even more damage.
At least I got to listen to music at work this afternoon, that cheered me up a little bit. Listened to Asia and Kansas today, I'm a sucker for classic rock!
I'll close this somewhat depressing blog with the usual deluge of nerd humoour.
