Well I think it's time for a new patented sync update! I havn't written a journal update in a few days and so much has happened. Well, to be precise it hasn't happened because I've been a lame ass. I havn't been into Uni for over two weeks (ok make it three now). I'm not getting into my second year which is a pain in the rear because I have three essays to do for the end of this month, beginning of December. I feel like a prat for not having been in but some days you just roll over, look at the time, think fuckit and go back to sleep. T hat is the state of mind I am in right now; fuckit.
I'm not gonna moan too much because I know the problem and the solution. I'm just going to go in, get my work done and look forward to a holiday. Yay for holidays!
In other news I am listening to Isis's new album 'Panopticon' and it's pretty rad, and also cool. I will save it an early grave by actually calling it RadiCool though. I love a bit of instrumental rock and this satisfies that craving, I havn't heard it too much so I won't describe it except to say on first listening I was stoaked. I just hope that Isis play near me soon. I guess they will tour for the album so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Just finished China Mieville's ' The Iron Council'. It's the third book of his I've read and I enjoyed it a lot. I did not think it as good as his previous books 'Perdido Station' and 'The Scar' but it still has the vivid and disturbing elements that brings his world alive together with an exciting cast of characters. However one of the main characters "Cutter" is quite annoying and I could not feel sympathetic to him which spoilt the story for me. Also, it jumped between two periods of time but in a very unsatifactory way. I realised the necessity of doing so but I don't thing Mieville handled it particularly well.
Phew, I feel the wrong side of knackered! I finished watching 'Full Metal Alchemist' yesterday and felt a little teary eyed to see the final episode. It just wasn't fair the ending, at least I don't think it should have ended like that. Although on the other hand it was a very poignant ending and in some respect I think I feel like I do simply because it made me feel so sad to see Ed and Al so far apart. I don't know if there is more to the story, I should check out the comic. It's definately the best series I've seen since I became obsessed with Naruto. That brings me to a recent episode of Naruto with a spectacular fight between Naruto himself and Sasuke. episode 107 (via bittorrent) which is the latest episode and has the fight (or at least first part) is available from scarywaters.net. It's the ANBU fansub. I wish ANBU would get their arse in gear 'cause I grab the first one to release but it hasn't been ANBU in a while. I noticed that the raw for episode 108 has been released. I'm tempted to download it just to see how the fight ends but that would spoil it I guess. I really would like to be able to speak japanese.
Watched Kill Bill II today and it was quite enjoyable. Wasn't a massive fan of the first one but I enjoyed this one much more. I think because it had some great dialogue in it and David Caradine was brilliant. Uma Thurman was also great, she's such a stunning girl. She remind me a little of ovida actually. I think Ovida is probably prettier
I thought I would have the man himself Gabe Newell count down to Half Life 2's Release!
I thought that I would have a cool suicide girl of the post pic, not that i'm copying rorschach or anything (I am) but I think it's a good idea and perhaps it might introduce you sync fans to exciting girls of sg you've never seen today. So to be topical today here's Ovida from her Anime set!
Always good
gah, some people should be banned from drinking. I'm not too bad but some people just seem to come out all wrong when they are drunk. My housemate chucked a glass at another of my housemates (they were playing the throwing stuff game) and it smashed on the stairs in our living room. Today another of my housemates has just cut her foot open and bled 1/2 a pint onto the living room floor. nice.
Hmm someone has just mentioned Cthulu in the veggie group and it makes me realise I havn't read any Lovecraft in ages. My next read perhaps!?!
I will love you and leave you all now with a very simple and true saying:
The Dude Abides
never forget that. The dude abides.
**update**
just watched naruto and it never escape my attention how pathetic Sakura is. Can't she pull it together, she's a bloomin' Ninja! sorry not exactly exciting news but it just niggles me.
all friends applications accepted unless you happen to be Shub-Niggurath, The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young. just bugger off i don't like eon old betentacled things who come and go without a please and thank you. no-ones impressed and if they are it's probably because they are stygian.
