I decided to celebrate my birthday by myself. I found out my housemate likes the girl i like so I am going to back off. John Peel is dead so I am gonna just cry a little. Time to get out the Nick Cave and listen to 'No more shall we part'. It has all the requisite morose lyrics and self satisfied depression one could ever want. right, finished with that bollox now it's on to the good stuff.

When I was young I moved to wales and discovered the countryside. It was something I didn't really realise existed before but after moving I learned that there was a whole new world out there.
I watched a place where seasons had meaning. I brought up a flock of chickens and geese, watched as they were subdued by foxes and did all I could to defend them from the wild, wild west. Nature is something we have to give to all our children and no mistake. I can't imagine any of my children missing out on what I've had. it would be wrong.
