oh my god. five minutes into watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind and I've realised I am joel.

god that was the saddest fuckin film i've seen in a long time. i feel like crying man that was just horrible. i know it ended on a positive note but just watching joel have all his memories taken from him was awful.
why is that all we ever get left with is our memories and then they go and crumble?
