well I feel at one with nature today. I found a swallow sitting in the middle of the road and it didn't seem injured at all, just dazed. Knowing my cat was around I thought that - rather than let it become an aparatif to dinner - I would remove it from harms way.
Here is the swallow, sitting on my knee in the back garden. The picture is quite bad because it's taken on a cheap digital camera. I am thinking about getting a new one.
The swallow was sweet, I think it was a stoner and had probably toked one too many and fallen off the telegraph line onto the road. We hung around for a while, Swallow chilled and then when he felt a little better he flew off. Happy with the world.
