I came upon a grim realization today.
You know how you always see your family members the same way, no matter how old they get and no matter what happens to them? I remember hearing my parents talking about my aunt and uncle and how they used to have an apartment when they were in their 20s. I remember going there as a small child. It made me realize that they weren't always the middle aged squares they are now. They used to be a young couple with a party house, even though I was too young to realize it.
I also realized that I am now approximately as old as my parents were when I was barely old enough to have my first memories of them. And, my father is now as old as my grandfather was around that time. I remember his 50th birthday. He seemed so old then, and my image of him hasn't changed even though he is now in his seventies.
Like I said, you always see your family the same no matter what happens.
I am getting so old... and I've accomplished so little.

...thats bizzarre...cause when i was around your age and my parents moved to Texas for a couple of years and I was gong for some time and then when I saw them again I realized how much they aged... It was like a slap in the face.....needless to say Im sure I aged too...it made me kinda sad ...
