The construction on WS1(winston-salem 1) is progressing on schedule. We are starting the
recruiting process by interviewing internal candidates for leadership positions,
and will soon begin interviewing both internal candidates and North Carolinians
for the first 200 manufacturing and engineering positions. You will receive more
information on available positions and the process to apply for them shortly. If

could fate be tempting me? the new facility opens this fall, which happens to be the end of my 6 month probationary period for my new position. i will, essentially, be clear and free to navigate. i started working for dell in the first factory they built in tennessee. i moved into their second production center by the airport as soon as they let people in the building. it seems like a good career move to follow in the next (giant) footstep the guy makes.

i often wondered about moving to our ireland plant, but this is a bit more attainable. it would be close to the folks (but not too close), and the cats wouldnt have to endure too long of a drive. plus the beach and the mountains in driving distance of each other?

this is the furthest ive ever lived from my parents-25 whole minutes. i love mom and dad, dont get me wrong, but i stayed in the nest a little too long. i feel like my wings are still stretching, the day is still young, you know?

i do have a lot going for me here: my friends and family; my music; proximity to graceland. everything is on the up and up around here, a strong reason to stay in the cradle. my music is about to jump a couple o gears in may-quite a ringer coming to town in the form of a long lost friend/bass player. my first love is on the way to becoming a marketable and rewarding exercise.

but my demons are also here. demons that hide in whispers in the color of my walls. the dreams, turned nightmares, stare at me at all my familiar haunts. everything i see makes me guess at what ill never know. im not in a bad place, just in a place overrun by tumultuous memories. my strength wanes at the first drops of rain, the storm that seems to be lurking behind every corner.

i have given too much.

i long for the emptiness of a strange town, for a place where no one knows me. there is no memory trapped in its rain-swept streets. everything will be fresh and new. the truth will have nowhere to hide. my discretion will dictate the amount of pain i will have to endure in the giving away of my heart. i will be enough, for me at least.

*edit:firewall must be down here at work,i was able to slip through. meeting with an hr rep tomorrow. i won't be able to apply for any positions soon, but may be able to get my foot in the door.
