there are clocks everywhere at work. time clocks. clocks on the walls. the little clocks in the corner of every computer (i work for a computer company-here the number of clocks turns exponential). and i carry two cell phones and a nextel.

time, lately, is measured in increments instead of moments as it should be. the archaic 'tic' has been replaced by the hypnotic 'blink' in today's digital world,but the effect remains the same:the mechanics of going through motions to move from one second to the next.

i long for the time the measurement of these motions is the briefest part of my day. the 'tic's and 'blink's to be replaced by anticipation for the next moment.

the next smile.

the next touch.

the next kiss...
