what do you do in the night after you meet one of your heroes?
i danced in a circle of 'elite' as the man said. the passion and fire we shared was larger than any of us. it's burning,though, was fed through us-the old and graffiti cast walls of brick became a furnace. smoke filled neon parted before the words that became gasoline for the flames grown weak in this world. a firm handshake and a kind word closed a cirlce started so long ago.
my night afterwards was filled with a restless energy and self inflicted torture. i ran through a cloudy night lit by a crooked and elusive moon. i stood ready to take on the world for the sanctity of the few things i find precious while i fed the demon of uncertainty with my soft insides. i have the knowledge and strength to chose my battles, but too often give in to unbridled abandon and throw myself on the swords of doubt.
