i look in the curved safety mirrors as i walk under them and i know.

i look at my hands and i know.

i look into their faces and i know.

my fingers fly across the keys, my legs bend and push the load, my mind decides and moves forward the business.

they see angst and inflexibility.
they see drive and determination.
they know i will deliver anything they ask wether they like it, or not.

'i am. i think. i will.'

washing my hands in the utilitarian restroom, my reflection speaks of courage, motivation, and power.

even as they needle and prod me, my knees bend and my arms flex-thrusting my will upon them. they are afraid of what they see-fearlessness.

i push them aside. i wade through their helpless shrugs of indifference. i stand in an open dock door against the cold wind and the sun.

today,i work in your midst.

tomorrow, i tower above you-beyond you.

i am.
