Only two more weeks until term starts, eek!
Things I have done these holidays:
* Written my Masters essay
* Spent a week at my parents' house while they were away, cycling, walking, visiting and most of all, eating. Turns out that being a tourist somewhere you lived for years can be awesome!
* Baked lots of vegan cakes
* Gone bowling with my Mum and brother
* Had coffee and cake with other teachers and their adorable kids
* Spent a lovely morning drinking coffee and getting to know my team for next year better
* Got a not insignificant amount of tax refunded. Awesome.
* Finished the first chapter of the new Monkey Island game.
Before I go back I will:
* Lose weight. Ugh. I know I'm always saying this, but damn, I really need to. Too much indulgence these holidays.
* Go to Bordeaux for 3 days. I'm very excited about this. Another holiday somewhere I used to live!
* At least attempt to sort out the huge mess that is our house. There's stuff everywhere.
I'm kinda nervous about the new term. Lots of changes in school and an extremely challenging class. I guess I have to tell myself that the headteacher wouldn't have given me such a difficult class if he didn't think I was a good teacher. It's gonna be tough.

I still go back to my parents and steal food. I did it just tonight in fact. And then on the way out of the door I emptied his fridge of lager. With his blessing of course.
