I wish I were building a shelf or something, but all my DIY projects involve some sort of file on my computer. I majored in Creative Writing at University, so I'm usually doing something writing related.
I'm trying to write a song based on a bunch of thoughts I was having as I was falling asleep. It's generally the time of day where I get the most interesting ideas; possibly because I'm more introspective... and possibly because my thoughts become more incoherent as I drift off to sleep. It's fun trying to piece all the thoughts together and try to find a meaning amongst it all.
Drums are generally the first thing I think of when I write music now. I don't play drums, but I find I can transcribe them and come up with interesting patterns. I think once the drums are down, everything else kind of falls into place.
Anyway... that's my DIY project.
