3/13: What are your favorite TV shows?
Television is actually my preferred medium. I enjoy the fact you can follow a character's progression through a television series, instead of having a single 2 hour experience with a set of characters.
-The Simpsons would have to be the most influential show on my life. Seasons 1-10 were basically flawless. It's a shame that it tarnishes its legacy with every extra season, but nothing will take away from the fact that The Simpsons had a profound effect on me growing up.
-Breaking Bad is probably my favourite drama series of all time. Kind of an obvious one, I know, but it deserves all the credit it gets. It's well-written and perfectly cast.
-Oz - wow, what can I say about that show? Basically nothing on television shocks me anymore, thanks to Oz. Forget the scared straight program, if you want to scare a delinquent child away from the life of crime, look no further. You know how everyone says Game of Thrones is a show that gets you attached to a character, then kills that character off? Well, Oz did much of the same. Brilliant show - check it out if you already haven't.
Other great shows: King of the Hill, Futurama, Orange is the New Black, The Shield, Veronica Mars... and I'm sure there are others I just can't think of right now.
