So, that was college.
Interesting five years.

I just got back from the wedding of a good friend and onetime girlfirend. It was a nice ceremony next to the campus lake. It was a Quaker wedding, which is the way I will go, if I ever do such a thing. It was simple, quiet, joyfull occasion, and I got to say goodbye to her and a lot of my other friends.

I am starting to get worried about my big move. I still haven't found an apartment, and I have to move by Saturday at the latest! I start my intership on Monday! I thought I had an apartment set up, but that fell through. I don't really know anybody all that well in DC. My best shot at someone to stay with was my roommates great parents, but they just went on vacation until this weekend. Bad timing.
I'm spending like 30 dollars on pay roommate sites; checking craigslist and Washington City Paper every day, but I am still having a really hard time. People don't want to deal with someone who is not in the city already, which I can sympathize with. You never know whose going to screw you, and its hard to take a leap of faith on someone to move in with you whom you haven't seen face to face. I'd love to come up and stay for a couple days, but that's just not possible before I have to move.
Maybe its time to start calling up every aquaintance I have, swallow my pride, and beg for a room? I hate doing that though.
Anybody have any advice, and/or a spare room in DC? Heh.
UPDATE: Need2xcap2 and I got married last night in SG chat. I could not be happier. I hope all will share in the joy and light of our SG marriage.
