If he dumped her, she's fair game. If she had broken up with him, that would be a different story. I know guys have that golden rule and all, but I don't know many guys who would honor it. I would be honest with your friend, though...he deserves that. I don't think you did anything wrong, especially if you actually like this girl and didn't just use her for a piece of ass.
