I'm sitting here, drinking a beer, thinking to myself "I'm a pretty lucky guy."

Life is going remarkably well. I work hard, and am appreciated and well compensated for my work. I'm helping to create important, meaninful art. I have purchasing power, and an apartment of my own.

Most importantly, I am responsible for no one but myself. Beyond taking care of myself, I am utterly free of responsibilities aside from those I willfully take on. For perhaps the first time in my life, I feel in control of my desitny.

I'm got a remarkable group of friends here in Washington, and many of them I met right here on SG (others are now my own personal recruits onto the site)! I'm not going to list you, but you know who you are, and you are wonderful.
