My Mom's Mom passed away on Tuesday morning. She was 97 and had Alzheimer's. I will be driving to Pittsburgh Friday to be with my family. It didnt hit me yesterday until I called my mom today and she was buying a dress for my grandmother to wear to her own funeral.
This is the second grandparent that has passed that I can remember. My first hit home hard as it was my namesake. Seeing your own name on a tombstone...yeah that is still weird.
I hope to see some of my cousins that have been off the radar for a couple of years now. Thankfully my roommate will come with me to make the driving easier.
