Holy Update Batman!
So basically, I have been having a great time. Monday was the Headbanger's Ball and it was fucking great. I dont think I can emphasize how fucking awesome it was. Three of my favorite bands, in a intimate venue. Dreamy.
I was in totaly need of that concert. I guess I had been keeping a lot in and that show just let me freak out and have a great time. I got to jam the fuck out to Shadows Fall, play sing-a-long with Killswitch, and destroy with Lamb of God. All three bands played full sets. The show was over 4 hours long. One of the coolest things was the wall of death.
I had heard that Lamb of God did it during Black Label so I had been thinking about it. For those of you who dont know what the wall of death is, I will inform you. The band takes and separates the crowd into two halves and makes them go to the opposite sides of the venue. So basically then you have half of the people on the left, half on the right, and a big empty space in the middle. then they count the song in and...um....think Braveheart. I figured I was gonna be a pussy and just watch, but after about 4 hours of metal I was so pumped up I put myself on the front line. It was so great. The crowd was a total fucking battlefield for the entire song. It was great.
Ok, enough of that. Also I just finished my last week of the semester, and next week I have a porfolio review. I have two self portraits I have to do by thursday but I figure I will be fine as long as I don't decide sleep sounds better than drawing. Now the best part..
Thursday morning I have my porfolio review. I am gonna drop off my stuff around noon and then me, jayme, jer and john are heading to the road. We will then be on our way to D.C to see CHILDREN OF BODOM!!!!!!!!
OH MY FUCKING GOD CHILDREN OF BODOM! The Hate Crew themselves will be ripping up the stage of the 930 club. The are one of the opening bands for the Dimmu Borgir show. I could care less about Borgir, Nevermore, or Hypocrisy. All I want to see is COB. We are gonna drive like 8 hours to see a opening band. Its gonna be fucking great.
Well, once again my update really doesnt have anything important to say, but I am totally fucking pumped. Only one more final, road trip, COB, and then Christmas. I don't have any rants for today so I will bid farewell.
