Well my photograph didn't win anything, but I'm not surprised after seeing some of the stuff that did get awarded. A SOCK, for piss-sakes, a sock got an award. It was titled "Father's stolen sock" or something like that and was a fucking plain white sock! LAME! Oh well, at least my picture is on dispaly at the gallery for a couple more weeks.

The research project I am part of is nearing the test subject phase (which just sounds awesome to say). I'm looking forward to getting some experience under my belt.

I started my retirement fund on friday, after a frantic shower and drive to the bank because I forgot about the appointment until 30mins prior. What a strange situation, here I am still in college setting up an IRA. It's good that I'll have the money when I'm older, but isn't this the time in my life where I'm supposed to be a drunkard, irresponsible, insert stereotypical college behavior here? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining that I'm where I am at and have such a good opportunity, it's just such an atypical thing for a college kid to do, I can't help but wonder about it.
