So this last week was pretty amazing. I'm in the process of changing my life around, and the most shocking realization is that I could have done this years ago, but I just needed to decide to do it. I've been in very healthy positive moods, I've been making ridiculous money at work, and I've even been able to quit smoking (albeit with a few slip-ups here and there). But I really feel amazing right now and all it's really taken was an adjustment in my own attitude toward life. Fucking crazy.

I've also started working a new form in my kung fu classes and this one uses the kwan dao, which is a beastly looking Chinese weapon that looks like this:


It's really, really awesome. I'm definitely going to need to build my upper body strength because it's a heavy weapon, but that will probably be good for me.

I've also started on another song that may yet be the greatest thing I've ever written. The lyrics are showing up slowly, but at least they're showing up. The music is too good to rush the words though. I'd hate it to end up seeming forced.

Oh, and the show went fantastically! There weren't as many people there for me as I would have liked, but I played really well and it made me feel all sorts of jubilation afterwards.

So, all in all, things seem pretty damn good right now!
