So sorry about your friend. That is a shitty way to spend a 30th birthday. My grandmother went thru a couple of eye surgeries for glaucoma, and it didn't work out too well. That was a while ago though; I know that lasik technology is sooo much better now. Best wishes to your friend and hope for a speedy recovery.
