It's interesting that the older I get, the less I care about my birthday. I remember in years gone by where I would count down the days, and sometimes hours until the day arrived. I recall making wish lists and being sure to drop hints as to what I would like to recieve.

"Hey mom, I saw this great thing on TV, and it's the bestest thing evar, and I thought I'd tell you, since, you know, my birthday is coming up and stuff. And did I tell you that I love you today? Oh, I did? Well, just thought I'd remind you."

I know some say it's because anything after 21 is pretty worthless, but even when I turned 21, it didn't affect me all that much. I've never been much of a drinker, and my age only meant I could now legally purchase something that I could have asked anyone to buy for me at any earlier point. Not that I did or condone anything like that...

Anyways, I got the new Invader Zim DVD early. Some competitor broke the street date, so I ended up with my new Zim-fix four days before I was expecting. Too bad I haven't bothered to watch it yet.

I saw "Hero" last night. It's definitely not your standard martial arts/action flick, and I think that affected my opinion somewhat, since that's what I was expecting. But, I did enjoy it somewhat... Even if it's not something I'd go and recommend to everyone.

Oh, and last night absolutely sucked for me and my desire to sleep. I have no AC or fans, and with it being 77 and extremely humid, my desire went rather unfulfilled. Let's just say waking up with a sweat covered sheet and pillow is rather... well, ugh.
I even tried to find the "cool side", and to much to my disappointment and shock, there wasn't one! I literally woke up at one point, and thought "Well, it's hot, but there's always a cool side of the pillow". So, when I discovered there wasn't one I actually started arguing with my pillow(s) until I passed out again. Ugh 2x.

I did find a fan tonight though. It's just unfortunate I was only really informed of it's whereabouts earlier tonight.
