About damn time I updated, eh?
I have a longer update I want to make, about a book I've been reading but it'll take a bit of time to get that all together so I'll wait until I have the time to do that properly.
First things first. Big thanks to all the folks I met in London at the SGUK shindig at The Ship in Wardour Street (and the sushi house and the coffee/fetish place earlier in the day -- yes, I said coffee/fetish place).
A selective list of people I kicked around with during the day and evening includes mariana who set things up for me, tobie who I taught a few finer points of sushi eating, partiallyblind, munch, neonkick, adthrawn, TheNonStopDancer, ciel, and Suicide Girls Cherry, Nic, Vicky and Tilly. There were many others too, but mentions also to Kinto who took the SlutPride pic for Juliana
and to NickySonic who spent his first five minutes in conversation with me asking why I was there and what I did and all the kind of stuff that makes a stranger feel welcome.
It was a really enjoyable day/evening spent amongst people who made it fun to be there. Thanks to you all.
My flights out and home were split between Air France and Vietnam Airlines. On VA, they had music channels that just played a given album over and over. For many hours in both directions, I listened to the latest Evanescence album. The shrieking and bombast seemed oddly comforting. Don't ask me to explain any further.

ps: Do you think it might have been a smart-ass roomate doing that? My roomate went on my username (I forgot to log out) and sent a million friend requests to girls he thought was hot. I was majorly embarrassed...it just seems weird to come out of lurker and then say that
