First things first, I wanna take time and thank everyone for the support and advice about treating this depression. So far, I've doing mostly cardio, push ups, sit ups, and been experimenting with yoga. Right now, I feel pretty good. No like exuberant, but better than I was before. I know this is not going to be easy going in, but I know I can do if I just believe in myself
you so can and it says volumes that you recognize it and are putting in the effort to change it. i've been diagnosed with severe clinical depression but haven't had a huge problem with it once i started a family. it still gives me trouble every once in awhile but i know that the end result of the depression isn't an option for me anymore. i have so much to live for and would be silly to go back down that road again.
and aren't push-ups the best?! i found them about 3 months before i got pregnant and i hated them at first. but now i miss doing them everyday.
I've looking up some alternatives to the anti-depressants(ya know like exercise, fish oil, less alcohol consumption) and I figured I'll just do that instead. Let's see how that works out.
Also I found this De La Soul video and it took me back to a time where people actually gave a fuck about their communities.

To tell you the truth I had a friend back in Detroit and we could have candid conversations about race and the politics of Detroit after leaving though I've found out the majority of the world doesn't share my sense of observational sarcasm.
I guess you're the guy who hangs out in "white" places again I had the same situation in Detroit as the white guy in a city with the pop. being 85% African American.
The thing is it seems the Hip-Hop/Gangsta culture is the hot seller now so that's the new stereotype of Black guys.
