Hey, kids! It's your Friendly Neighborhood Freak with an important announcement:
That's right, kids! While most college kids will be down in Cancun getting shitfaced and showing their boobies during Spring Break, I'm willing to do it for you all right in the comforts of Beantown!
Now, some history...
Living here w/no car and license can be quite the hassle, leaving a person w/very little to do for fun unless other people that actually drive are in the equation. Add the bustle and hustle of school and a crap job and one can tend to have a bit of a chain-smoking fit of BOREDOM.
Then, I had an epiphany. I realized that I don't get out enough. That, and this podunk, white-bread mountain town known as Gardner, MA is just sucking my soul away. So, I said to myself, "Self, you're not sitting around w/your thumb up your bum on Spring Break! You're taking a little trip!" And so it shall be.
I'll be staying @a luxurious, somewhat moderately-priced 2-and-a-half star hotel right outside of Boston. I hope to see some sights, find some cool shops, and, fate willing, get to (FINALLY!!) meet an SG member or two. I promise, I don't bite...unless requested. (Applications in triplicate must follow, along w/a background check and a urine sample).
Kids, I'm as giddy as a monkey w/a chainsaw for this one. I ♥ Boston. I don't get there nearly as much as I'd like. And to top it all off, the trip will end w/meeting my friends for the Star Wars exhibit @the Museum of Science.
Yes, I know. And I don't care.
For those of you fellow Massholes out there, I hope to bump into some of you during my sabbatical, and I may call upon you for advice on good music stores, sushi/Thai restaurants, and the like.
I may even come back to Gahdna-Hey w/a double-pierced bottom lip.
I will (of course) be bringing my trusty Polaroid digicam, and hope to have plenty of pics of my trip to share w/you all. If I'm able to get my hands on a computer w/Interweb access, I will do my best to update this thing w/my adventures so far.
Plus, when I come back, we will have the final round of voting for your favorite Freak Profile Pic.
