So, I've become obsessed with roller derby over the past 24 hours. I'm planning to try out on Saturday, despite not having been on a pair of skates in... many years.
But I tried some on today and got used to them pretty quickly (though still a little shaky). Will I be fast enough, stable enough, strong enough, and coordinated enough by Saturday? Who cares?? I'm just looking forward to having fun this week and getting used to being on wheels, again.
And there will be other try outs, if I don't make it this week. Whee!
