LittleFierceOne broke the news for me. I'll probably be going down to Fayetteville, tomorrow, to help go through things and sell things and sort paperwork and all that.

It's hard, but it's coming in waves - I've been able to stay relatively composed when necessary, but have had time to cry. I'm not looking forward to the next step - I hate going through stuff, and my mother was a huge packrat. We could fill infinite dumpsters with the crap in her house.

I bought a new cell phone, tonight - I'll activate it as soon as their system is updated and give out the new phone number. I still have my old phone, but I'm not sure for how long. We'll probably cancel it this week.

I'm looking for someone to adopt my mother's cat - she's small, approximately 4 years old, and has never been to a vet. I'm willing to take her in to make sure she is healthy and get her rabies vaccination, but I really can't afford to get her all her shots and spayed. I can try to help with those costs, though, if somebody can take her - I really don't want her to go to a shelter, it would break my heart. Please let me know if you or somebody else is interested in her, it would mean very much to me.
