Today, I had lunch with the always lovely and very sunny Persephoenix, the kind and wonderful Schiavona, and the totally hot and amazing LittleFierceOne. It was a good time, and I'm looking forward to seeing them all again in a few hours to hang out and play games!
It has been a gorgeous day - I just want to hang out and be cool all day.
On my way to lunch, I passed by the local lumber store on my bike, and had one of those "smell memories" - you know, when you smell something that brings back lots of memories. For some reason, I will always associate the smell of cut lumber with pleasant things like summer - I always loved the smell, and when I was younger used to play with sawdust to get the smell on my hands. It's a smell I crave in the spring and summer, and nearly forgot all about until today.
I love happy things like that.
