I know, I know - I post way too much, but I gotta share! In addition to my wonderful bike, I also went to the best website ever, Sock-Dreams, and bought some super awesome socks!!! I got a gift card for Christmas and never had time to sit down and go through the many many many different types of socks, stockings, tights, pantyhose, etc they have to narrow my list down to $50 worth of stuff. I finally ordered my stuff and it came in, today!!! Partly as a nod to the ultra lovely Persephoenix, who introduced me to the world of beautiful socks, and also because I have some mighty fine legs, I will model these lovelies for you!

Soccer stripes, Skater stripes, and Magenta Ink-LiNed kneesocks - oh, my!

Dark red O Chevrons - I love the way they go so well with my favorite teacher skirt (of course, I don't make it a habit of showing my fourth graders a bit o' thigh...)

Argyle socks and argyle tights - I love me some argyle! (I wanted different colors, but they were out of my favorites...
I do really like the grey, though.)

Mmm, grey O Chevrons... is that a gust of wind? Hmm...
Now that I've thoroughly distracted you with my awesome new socks, a quick update. School is going a bit better... I'm not nearly as behind - besides, I only have to get through Thursday, and then I'm free for a week (hooray, Spring Break!) I'm going to work on a lot of stuff while I'm in NM, I'm sure, but a lot of the pressure will be off.
It occurred to me, today, that my parents have not seen my nose piercing or my 2nd tattoo (the music). I never told them about them, either. Oops.
My dad has a cow about these things, and my stepmom gives me shit, but I'm not worried about it. I just know I'm gonna get the third degree when they notice them. Haha... fun times!
And the bike is fucking awesome. I was pretty tired when I got home, coming up the long but not very steep hill actually wore me out. I think it's more to do with the fact that I got 5hrs of sleep last night, but I know I'm out of shape. Otherwise, though, it felt great to bike and actually be outside. I'm surprised how fast you can go on a bike, too - it's amazing how much faster than walking.
Alright, lovelies, I should go put all these socks away and get some homework done. *kisses*

I thought I'd come and say hello as you're a student teacher like me
Do you know Meg Warshany? I saw you're from Carrboro.
