damn. the rad waitress girl is "sort of" dating someone who she's been with on and off for four years!

we'd hung out and talked a bit, enough where i thought for sure she'd have mentioned someone, if she was seeing someone, you know? and it wasn't until way late into our thought-it-was-going-pretty-great dinner when she dropped this info. the guy is a rocker in a decent local band i've seen a few times -- now i feel all jealous and shit! cue "my rival" by alex chilton...

but whatever. i have gained a rad new friend and that's always a great thing -- she's really smart and fun and makes funny noises like little sound effects all the time, it's really very charming -- i love things like that, fun quirks, but then again maybe i'm kinda strange and def. through with being cool and i like people like that, folks who've made their own way, and are happy, you know?

i spent way too much time at the end of the night talking about getting stabbed but she wanted to know about it, the whole story. if i weren't so tired i'd want to work on one of my book projects but damn it's late already... sleeeeeep beckons...
