Hey ho -- tonight I saw a solo show by the Mum cellist; it was damn good. I also had a fun, fast, spur of the moment dinner with the record store girl. I'm so busy lately that things can only go at a pretty slow pace with any girl, which is fine by me 'cause my tendency when I'm crushed on someone is to be either sorta freaky or to push things. And I am doing either of those things here. Christ, maybe I've just sort of grown up a little bit or something, too??? Nahhhh.

At cello-girl's show I ran into a friend who has a diesel truck and she's making her own fuel for it out out spent grease and some other shit -- I am totally blown away by this girl, she's one of those righteous, pure, and totally beautiful dykes who you just get an instant crush on! Sigh... There was also a girl there who I got an instant crush on tonight just by sight which is really rare for me -- she looked like a silent film star, and the thing that did it is she clearly made her own clothes, and they were sexy and artsy. She wasn't around afterwards for me to try my mack on her, though!!!

Here is a SHORT-ISH excerpt from the end of my talk with the conscientious objector:

SEBASTIAN: I called my V.A. rep four days ago, and he informed me that they were pulling my number again. I came up on the computer as being returned to active duty. It came down through the pipeline that 175,000 are being mobilized to South Korea and that the DMZ is being moved 50 miles to the south (of the border) because they are anticipating a northern assault. It is not in the news right now and I have called other guys and they are all aware of the same thing.
MIKE: You can officially declare yourself conscientious objector, right?
SEBASTIAN: Except for the consequences.
MIKE: There is a guy that I read about in Ft. Lewis who has done that recently.
SEBASTIAN: But they dont tell you what happened to him -- if he is being detained, he is getting his ass beat. I got involved with these conscientious objector people and they have been informed by the 3,000-some men who sat down for this Iraqi war. They were all Marines, and they reported for duty and refused to go, and were all sent down to this facility in New Orleans. The reports that they are getting from the mens families is that these guys are getting their ass beat every day, and I am not going to let that happen to me.
MIKE: When were you informed of this and what are you supposed to do?
SEBASTIAN: I was informed four days ago through my Veterans Affairs officer. Just getting returned to an honorable discharge returns me to my rank and to my position. I am dammed if I do and damned if I dont. Theres nothing I can do right now to fix this problem except to go into hiding for six months.
MIKE: When you first heard about the mobilization of this new war, how did you feel?
SEBASTIAN: Scared for myself and these kids, most of them dont know and most of them are brainless, most of em are just out of AIT, Advanced Infantry Training. You know how young men aretheyre easily influenced and brainwashed. I mean there was a time when I was ironing the little decal on my skivvies. And we didnt have to do that; guys were looking at me, What are you doing, are you crazy? And they were like Branno is gung ho! I was so caught up in it.
I was squad leader, I was the first recruit in 30 years to graduate boot camp (as a) Lance Corporal. I was always at the 300 mark on the PT test; I was always the marksman in my platoon. I was always the leader from the moment I got in but I didnt want to be one, I dont like being in that position, I dont like telling people what to do. It just came natural to me because of what my father took me through I didnt even have to think, I just did it. And thats what they liked.
MIKE: If you did report, what would happen?
SEBASTIAN: I would get sick all over again, or I would kill myself.

haven't had time to check out Manitoba, but I've read several reviews already.

That pic was from an old Request magazine featuring N*E*R*D*'s favorite songs. I love those guys. I admit I listened to Britney because of their production -- just one song however.

What's up, mack-daddy? Daddy-mack? Jump, jump!!
