Sorry for the absence the last day or two had an interesting time of it, up all night with the lovely Mum cellist girl. She called me to come by her place last night cause her ex was watching her kid. And shes really, really cool methinks -- BUT shes not interested in dating anyone right now. So, seeing as how *I* am not into trying to change peoples minds Ill listen to her, okay. And I am psyched to become better pals with her, too.

I doubt Ill be able to post much or write in any of my favorite folks journals cause Im fixin to head to AUSTIN, TEXAS for five rollickin and righteous days of schmoozin and rockin and BBQ eatin and hangin with old pals! Slept a total of 10 hours the last three nights and I have to leave for my flight in 4; I COULD sleep for a total of 2 maybe but Im way afraid Id sleep through the alarm so perhaps Ill just be totally woozy then try to sleep on the flight??? Damn, whythefuck did I book such a crazy early flight?

If I do not check in, just figure that a wild pack of Texas cheerleaders has kidnapped me and is keeping me tied up as their personal sex slave. Yeehaw!, and stuff.

PS -- (Chicago band) Califone were fucking great tonight (like if a jam band could actually be good.) God it was really great to hang with them, Ben and Tim especially. I have a weird and tangled relationship with Tim Rutili and things are sorted out now, but everytime we see each other it's awkward at first. I'm doing a record with them -- fucked-up remixes of the band's live covers of Rolling Stones songs -- sounds crazy I know but I think it will fucking KICK ASS. A certain SG member has contributed a really cool spooky ass remix that will be on it, also!!
