Yesterday I drew up my Sort Life Out List. Things I have to do this week or remain a perpetual bum for the rest of my life. Here they are (in no real order):
1. Clean room
2. Help Josh write his computer game
3. Write CV
4. Catch up drink with Nat
5. See documentary filmmaker my mother knows
6. Look at mandy.com
7. Doctor appointment
8. Send Chris a birthday card
9. Give Caroline the graduation ball ticket I bought for her
10. Catch up drink with Jesse
11. Cook meal for new girlfriend
12. Beg parents for money
13. Resign from Ikea
I thought 13 points was unlucky so I took Woodrow Wilson's advice and added one more
14. Buy Transitions new album
Well so far 2,6,7,8,10, and 11 are complete; 1 is ongoing; 5 is prosponed until next week (he's out of town); 3,4,9 and 12 should be done by the end of tomorrow and 13 will be done on Thursday. 14 will have to wait til I have the money, but otherwise I seem to be doing pretty well. Can't wait to get it all done so I'm off to practice my CV!

i keep trying to tell them it's easy, the basic principles are the same, they just work slightly differently.
i try and tell them, the day after i got my ibook (my first mac) i ordered the missing manual - which is a great book, it completely tells you how to use a mac - but by the time it arrived 3 days later i'd pretty much figured out all but the most geeky things from the book. they all say it's because i'm a big geek and i 'know' computers, but the day i fired up that ibook i felt completely lost
the transition should be pretty easy, just throw yourself into the mac, i don't know about you but i spend a hell of a lot of time on my computer, and learning the ins and outs of my mac has been an incredibly rewarding experience. i'm constantly amazed by how much you can do, and by how much most people don't know about their computers. use the new OS as an excuse to really learn some stuff in depth, it really does pay off in the long run
