In honour of my overnight guests Disco, Nic, Tsui, and Jim Corr/Traumatron who sadly did not have time to enjoy the fair delights of my home town, I have 20 points of rubbish trivia about Bristol. I've already been 'tagged' but I wanted something less self involved.

1. Famous Bristolians include Cary Grant, Tony Robinson, Nick Park, Derren Brown and Darth Vadar (David Prowse is the guy in the suit).

2. Those educated in Bristol include Simon Pegg, David Walliams, Matt Lucas and John Cleese proving that our teachers our funny. Probably why Teachers is filmed here as well.

3. Patrick Stewart and Daniel Day Lewis both honed their Thespian skills at Bristol Old Vic, showing we have a serious side too.

4. Everyone in Bristol has starred in Casualty/Holby City/Teachers at least once.

5. The Young Ones was set in North London but filmed in Bristol whilst Only Fools and Horses was set in South London and also filmed in Bristol. No one knows why.

6. Yes! Only Fools and Horses was filmed here! Goddammit why does no one believe that!?

7. Every Bristolian knows the Coronation Tap cider pub, but no one can provide directions on how to get there.

8. Daniel Defoe wrote Robinson Crusoe after a conversation with a pirate in a Bristol pub. One of the first novels in English literature and a damn fine read. I get pissed with pirates and I write utter gibberish.

9. That pub is approximately 32 feet from the Il Bordello where we had the Burlesque show last night.

10. Bristol is very lumpy

11. The North/South divide in Bristol is so strong that large parts of Bristol remain a mystery to each group. Southerners have only heard of Clifton while Northerners have only heard of Bedminster

12. Only Bristolians will laugh at point 11. Everyone else will smile politely even though they're at home and no one is watching them.

13. The Bristol Ikea store gets over 4 million visitors a year, that's 1 million more than Alton Towers and it doesn't even have any rides! It is free to get in though and the hot dogs are awesome.

14. Bristol is an anagram of Sir Bolt, in honour of the man knighted for contribution to engineering during the Industrial Revolution with his associate Sir John Nut.

15. 47% of tourists fall for the Nut and Bolt gag every year.

16. 42% of tourists in Bristol are American

17. 5% of tourists have an artificial limb and/or an eye patch.

18. There is only one shop you can buy cigarettes from in after midnight in the centre of Bristol and Tsui missed it by 40 yards. Traumatron and I still feel guilty about this, even though it the cab drivers fault.

19. The Hatchet proclaims itself to be the oldest pub in Bristol, but everyone suspects they are lying but no one can be arsed to prove it.

20. Pubs in Bristol never close, they merely turn the lights off.

So for all those that have never been, visit Bristol now! For all those that have, hopefully I'll see you soon.

I'm off to embrace my hangover.
