For those who don't know, I am a bit of a car nut and a racing fan, but find NASCAR incredibly boring and useless. I will say that Dale Earnhardt earned my respect when I saw him racing a C5R in the middle of the night in the pouring rain during the Rolex 24hours at Daytona. While driving back from Chapel Hill, I found it a bit ironic when I passed Dale Earnhardt Blvd at 90mph in the pouring rain in the middle of the night.
