So what's up! My internet has been out for a loooooong ass time so I haven't been on here for a while. My membership is up next month but my birthday is next Friday so I'm trying to coerce my friends and family into paying to get me an SG tat for the lifetime membership. Haha we'll see about that!
On another note I was watching BBC world news this morning and saw a report of the Roma in France. Apparently the French say that there is a high amount of crime coming out of the Roma community and that they want them out of the country. Thy are sending them to Romania.
I have a book called "Bury Me Standing" which is all about the Roma. I can't forget one part of the book which show a picture of three men laying on the ground dead while two other other men are loading a coffin into a van. The caption underneath the photograph reads, "In Oberwart, Austria, four Roma were killed by a pipe bomb in February 1995. Th bomb went off when the men tried to remove a sign that read "Gypsies go back to India."
Honestly I haven't finished reading the whole book yet, but I really feel bad for those people. They seem to get shitted on everywhere. Most people don't even know this but they were also targets of Nazis, not just Jews. What happened to them is fucked up, and what pisses me off the most is that no one hears their story.
People are not aware of their suffering and the media doesn't care enough to air it, so it doesn't get noticed. FTW
