Every pothead all over the U.S. should send a E-mail everyday to local politicians to legalize the plant! We need to take action because this is getting ridiculous! Every 37 seconds someone gets arrested for pot according to the history channel. Too bad they can't devote that much time and money on catching child molesters and rapists which would actually create a safer society! Think about the children you hear about getting kidnapped, raped, and murdered. That shit would happen alot less if there were a war on sex crimes, and not a war on drugs.

I agree 100%. Violent crimes and meth are a huuuge problem where I live yet the local police spend most of their efforts writing seat belt tickets and busting kids walking around with a dimebag. Granted, the police here aren't as well equipped to deal with the bigger issues, maybe they would be if the funding alloted for it...

Yeah meth is a big problem here also. I had to go to jail for weed last summer, and was in there with a bunch of meth heads. I was honestly disgusted hearing all of the stories of these 50something year old men getting under aged girls hooked on speed so they can get some action. Also something that struck me as odd during this time was the number of those people that have done this for years and never really worried about getting busted, or got off easy because its a small town and they grew up with the cops. The point I'm trying to make is that the police are supposed to protect us, and they do not do that at all when they harass and arrest stoners. If the police used that time to harass REAL criminals then they would be actually doing their job. Most cops are underfunded, but they can harass tweakers just as easily as stoners. I suppose this brings up the question of whether cops should uphold the law, or just protect us? Because they are two very different things. But its really not the cops but the lawmakers that are the problem. That's why we need to start sending letters, because petitions alone aren't doing anything! (Kinda went on a rant there, sorry)
