I learned today in school that I have white-privilege(which I was already aware of), and that because of what white people did to the blacks during slaver and jim crow times, I was born with my own personal original sin that I must live every day in humility and repentance over.
fuck you, I'm irish and american indian. One was nearly wiped out, but it's rarely referred to as genocide, and the other was treated like slaves and second class citizens when they came to america. yes they were assimilated faster because of the color of their skin, but that doesn't mean they weren't oppressed greatly when they arrived. I'm not trying to lessen other ethnicity strife, but don't blame me like I had any hand in oppressing anybody or that my forefathers did.
the only people I'm guilty of oppression and judging are dude-bro's, and that's only as a pop culture, I still approach everyone on a case by case basis and will be friends, I just dislike any culture or pop culture that glorifies ignorance.
