Well, it was bound to happen eventually.
Just got the phone call at work. They're going to be sending out lay off letters, and while my boss says it's "unlikely", I might get one. If I do get layed off, he's going to try and make it to where I'm in a casual status, so that I can come to work if they have money to pay me.
There goes that "recession proof" job idea.

Oddly enough, I'm in way to good of a mood today.
My first thoughts, "Oh well, fuck it, at least I've got some warning"
Which is what I told my boss, who was having a lot of trouble telling me. He's less confrontational than I am, which is nice sometimes cause I can get away with a lot of shit, but when I need him to do shit, it's a little frustrating.

Anyways, honestly, couldn't come at a better time. I've got a good savings put away. I put off finding a new place, so I'm not paying more rent. If I live light, and trim back my expenses, I could probably live off of my savings for 2 to three months.
If it came down to it, I could just sell off some shit and try and find a roommate. and if nothing else, pack the car and head for Texas(not likely though)

Really this could be a blessing in disguise though. Without this comfort zone I'd be forced to actually DO SOMETHING!

I'm scared, of course, but I'm not panicking, then again, it might not have truly sunk in yet. It's still all just conjecture anyways. But I'll be looking for the letter anyways.
