bah, blog post destroyed by an accidental refresh. Regardless, it was overly wordy anyways. Let's just leap strait the the point.

I recently made an audible account. Audible is a digital audio book store. The first 2 stories I purchased were completely unrelated to each other. Purchased near a month seperate from each other in different genres. and yet, the main plot of one story, was EXACTLY a sub-story in the other book.

A boy who has a dream of treasure, and chooses to give up everything he has in pursuit of this vague dream which could be nothing more than fancy leading to disillusionment. On the boys journey to his destination, he is shown amazing things, given great life lessons, love, and many places he could have stopped and been quite content with his achievement. As well as many trials and moments of doubt. In the end he reaches his destination, only to find nothing, be beaten and nearly killed and ridiculed. In the end when he explains why he is there the man dealing the torture states that the boy is a fool for following dreams. On the same place the boy was seeking his treasure, this man had too had a dream of treasure, and then proceeds to describe the exact location the boy first had his dream of treasure.
The boys treasure had been beneath him where his journey started, but if he had not made this journey he would not have gained the tools to appreciate it, and be worthy of such a gift from fortune. The boy then takes what little he has left, returns to where his journey started and finds his magnificent treasure.

I wish I could remember my dreams. Or maybe remember my dreams as a child, remember why I wanted them and what made me so sure I could achieve them. Regardless. One thing that needs to happen this year, I need to travel. I need to contemplate what I want in life, and stop being afraid. I need to seek out my personal legend.
