I wish I had something to be proud of.
My job, my country, something.
The moment that I could have been able to be proud to be a marine, was the moment I was able to see through the cloak of the brochure and public relations, to realize that the marine corps I had been sold, was not the one that I bought. i was part something riding on the coat tails of prior glory.
Prior glory only to people taught history in american schools, where there are so many lies and propaganda it's no wonder we all have this delusion of America A OK number !.
Wake up, as far as everyone else is concerned, we're the bad guys. The flag is tarnished so much by our actions and or ignorance, that i can't imagine pride in it anymore. Only mourning for what once was, or at least was aspired too.

but it's easy to blog about these things. I've done nothing to change the world, not even a step in the right direction. I despise "yellow ribbon patriotism", but I don't do anything.

the world is doomed, it's our fault, and I'm the worst of all because I see the problems, and do nothing to solve them.
