on saturday I randomly got an email from ticketmaster saying they had a promo ticket for me to go see Jonathan Davis's(lead singer of Korn)solo show tonight.
First off, gODHEAD opened. The goth industrial band from the 90's, and they did an all acoustic set. It kicked ass. They played an fucking excellent cover of "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd. They had an acoustic cd for sail so I bought the cd and got it signed by the band members.
Then Jonathan Davis played. and he kicked ass. since it was his solo show and he could play whatever he wanted, they played about 6 or 7 songs from "Queen of the Damned".
as well as playing Korn songs, a Neil Diamond song, a Duran Duran song, and a whole slew of other songs.
it was an amazing night, both of itself, and because the ticket cost me a 4 dollar ticket master service charge, and it was random.
