Ethically.
DNA aside.

The ability to reason, to understand and reproduce compassion?

Someone who, in some way, can contribute positively to the planet no matter what their station or condition is?

If it's a purely mental aspect, then it shouldn't matter what we look like, who we are, where we're from or where we can or can't go.

If it's a purely mental aspect, then physical form or physique has no bearing on what it Truly means to be a Human Being.

If one can maintain a positive sense of Humanitarianism and Kinship with the greater populace by ideas and ideals that benefit the World at large, Flora and Fauna, then the physical being is merely a container for the Human inside all of us.

Once a complete DNA analysis has been mapped: http://www.ornl.gov/sci/techresources/Human_Genome/home.shtml

Once the mapped Data:
http://www.utheguru.com/fun-science-how-many-megabytes-in-the-human-body
--------- (32,596.2901 exabytes{1 exabyte = 1,073,741,824 Gigs}) -----------
has been transferred to a storage device:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070419140914.htm

Then we're all set with some optical hook ups, some neurological transmitters, a USB cord, a couple of nuts and bolts and you've got:

lol.

But in all seriousness; why should we age and die just because of the physical limitations that our bodies have, why, if we can change our physical selves, shouldn't we?
Given the need arise.

What with the Earth finishing up a period of global warming within the next 100yrs, and then more likely than not entering another Ice Age, I believe that the Human Bodies current physical form will have complications adapting to the overall climate change, the daily weather pattern changes, and most other Flora and Fauna either becoming extinct or rapidly adjusting their habitats and lifestyles to survive.

I believe this because of the invention/discovery of Modern Medicine, we, as a race, have been slowly innoculating, immunizing, curing, preventing and diagnosing "illnesses" and "diseases" for almost a 1ooYrs now
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Fleming
and it my firm belief that we're actually hurting ourselves with this medicinal curing approach.

Now, before you all Lambast me with comments like "Oh, this person would've died of this, that person wouldn't be alive because of that, blah blah blah", listen for a moment and try to understand what i'm getting at.

I don't WANT people to die. I don't WANT to kill people by not giving them medicine.
BUT, given that these people became sick in the first place, I believe the rest of Humanity should learn from these people and change their lives accordingly to survive and not end uplike those who become sick.

Survival of the fittest isn't just a theory proposed by Darwin, it is a LAW of Nature.
Being physical beings, we are part of Nature, and if we don't abide by this Law, then we are not a part of Nature, we are something different. I believe this is a bad thing.

Children survive sickness, people overcome Cancer, without medicine, rarely, but it does happen.
This is survival of the fittest, once people stop relying on medicine, there will, obviously, be a large drop in the human population, not that that is neccesarily a bad thing at the moment, but, those who do survive will increase the Human Gene Pool with stronger, more genetically adaptable DNA that will allow Humans to survive in almost any situation, leading to... nature only knows.

and, on a final point, Nature, Natural things, do not exist only on Earth.
The Universe is Natural.
The Universe, IS Nature.
The Laws of Nature apply Everywhere.

Therefore: Given an unlimited survival technique, One could theoretically survive anywhere, by surviving increasingly extreme environments generation after generation.

So what, now and forevermore, makes us Human? robot
