Wondering what would have happened is also a form of regret.

I do often look back and cringe at some of the decisions I've made or the way I've behaved in certain instances. But in the end, I'm reasonably happy with my life, and I don't know if that would be the case had I made some of those decisions differently. It helps me deal with regrets.

The whole trying to stand on the point of a rusty nail thing, though, was unnecessary. That one I can probably safely regret.
